My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon my noble friend Lord Elton will, with the leave of the House, repeat in the form of a Statement an Answer to a Private Notice Question in another place on the mining dispute public disorder.

It may be for the convenience of your Lordships if I tell the House that the Committee stage of the Trade Union Bill will be adjourned for dinner at approximately 7 30 p.m. for a short period and that during this adjournment the Committee stage of the Child Abduction Bill will be taken.

On Thursday next, 21st June, it is proposed that the Committee stage of the Health and Social Security Bill shall be adjourned at approximately 6 p.m., that at that point the Appropriation (No. 2) (Northern Ireland) Order will be taken and that after that again the Committee stage of the Health and Social Security Bill will be resumed.

The consideration of Commons Amendments to the Data Protection Bill, which was to have been taken on Thursday, has been postponed to a date not yet fixed.
