The Commons did not insist on their amendment to the Lords amendment 21 in:

Line 14, to leave out ("(1)") and insert ("(1A)")

but proposed the following amendments to the Lords amendment in lieu of that Commons amendment.

24 Line 14, after ("above') insert ("shall not apply where the tenant's claim to exercise the right to but' was made before the coming into force of Part 1 of this Act: and the amendment made by sub-paragraph (1A) above")

25 Line 16, leave out ("commencement') and insert ("coming into force").
