§ Baroness DeningtonMy Lords, I beg to present a Petition from the Greater London Council, sealed with the seal of the Council, which prays that your Lordships do not proceed with the proposal to cancel the 1985 elections in London.
I am certain, my Lords, that it also represents the views of the other five metropolitan counties so far as their elections are concerned.
