My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon my noble friend Lord Bellwin will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is to be made in another place on rate support grant settlement and rate limitation 1985–86.

It may also be for the convenience of the House if I announce that the Report stage of the Police and Criminal Evidence Bill will be adjourned for dinner at about 7.30 p.m. for approximately one hour. The Report and Third Reading of the Housing Defects Bill will be taken during this adjournment.
