HL Deb 09 July 1984 vol 454 c636

9 Clause 8, page 7, line 5, after ("issue") insert ("modification, suspension").

Lord Belstead

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 9. This amendment will permit licences and approvals in connection with artificial breeding to be altered without the necessity of first revoking them and then issuing amended ones. It will also be more appropriate and convenient upon occasions to suspend, rather than revoke, such licences and approvals. This really is a technical amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(Lord Belstead.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
