HL Deb 11 May 1983 vol 442 c506

5.50 p.m.

Lord Denham

My Lords, with the leave of the House, I should like to make a further announcement about the business tomorrow and on Friday. It has been agreed through the usual channels that all the Bills which remain to be considered should be taken tomorrow. This means that all stages of the Consolidated Fund (Appropriation) Bill and the Finance Bill, and consideration of Commons Amendments to the Health and Social Services and Social Security Adjudications Bill, will be brought forward from Friday to Thursday.

In addition, there are three Private Members' Bills which may complete their Commons stages tonight, in which case all stages of those Bills will be taken tomorrow.

The two Northern Ireland orders, which are at present on the Order Paper for Friday are not affected and will be taken on Friday as arranged.

Lord Ponsonby of Shulbrede

My Lords, may I thank the noble Lord for so promptly acquainting your Lordships with this change of business for tomorrow and Friday. I wonder whether he could tell your Lordships what are the three Private Members' Bills which may complete their Commons stages tonight.

Lord Denham

My Lords, I am most grateful for the help of the Opposition Chief Whip. I understand that the three Private Members' Bills are the National Audit Bill, the Road Traffic (Driving Licences) Bill, and the Broadcasting of Parliament (Annual Review) Bill.
