My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the order Paper.

Moved, That the Standing Orders relating to Public Business be amended as follows:—

standing order 21A

Insert the following new Standing Order— Lords attendance at Commons Select Committees—Any Lord requested by a committee appointed by the Commons to attend as a witness before it or before any subcommittee appointed by it shall have the leave of this House to attend, if his Lordship thinks fit."—
