HL Deb 21 April 1983 vol 441 c643
The Chairman of Committees (Lord Aberdare)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper. The object of this Motion is to enable the Select Committee, which will consider this Bill and also the Instruction which was moved by the noble Lord, Lord Beaumont of Whitley, and agreed to last Wednesday, to hear evidence if they so wish, from witnesses other than those called by the promoters of the Bill. I beg to move.

Moved, that the Select Committee to whom the bill is committed may hear evidence other than that tendered by the promoters.—(Lord Aberdare.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
