HL Deb 12 April 1983 vol 441 cc131-2

5.11 p.m.

Lord Denham

My Lords, it might be for the convenience of the House if, with the leave of the House, I were to make a Business statement. It may be helpful for your Lordships to know that it is now proposed that the Committee stage on re-commitment of Clause 7 of the Water Bill should be taken tomorrow before the Unstarred Question in the name of the noble Lord, Lord Harris of Greenwich. That should mean that the Committee stage that results from the re-commitment of Clause 7 should come on at about 6 p.m., or perhaps a little earlier if the short debate on the nationalised industries does not take its full two and a half hours.

Lord Ponsonby of Shulbrede

My Lords, I thank the noble Lord for so promptly making that statement.
