HL Deb 14 October 1982 vol 434 c967
The Earl of Avon

My Lords, with the leave of the House, I wish to make a Personal Statement. I am doing so at the earliest possible opportunity. On Tuesday, 12th October, in answer to a supplementary question from the noble Lord, Lord Hankey, I inadvertently misled the House by saying that the White Paper on the lessons learnt from the Falklands conflict would be published towards the end of this month. I should have said, as indeed my right honourable friend the Secretary of State has already announced, that it is the Government's intention to publish the White Paper towards the end of this year.

Lord Denham

My Lords, I beg to move that further consideration on Report be now adjourned until ten minutes to eight.

Moved accordingly, and, on Question, Motion agreed to.

The Sitting was suspended from 7.6 until 7.50 p.m.
