HL Deb 14 October 1982 vol 434 cc914-5
Lord Denham

My Lords, it may be for the convenience of your Lordships if I announce that dinner will be available at the usual time this evening. The Report stage of the Transport Bill will be adjourned at approximately 7 p.m. for a short period.

I think I should also inform your Lordships that it has been agreed that we should complete the Report stage of the Transport Bill today. This will avoid the need for the House to sit tomorrow. I believe that possibly the whole House will echo my hope that noble Lords will help the House to finish the business at not too unreasonable an hour this evening.
