§ 2.59 p.m.
§ Lord DenhamMy Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon my noble friend Lord Mansfield will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is to be made in another place on Britoil privatisation. I should also like to inform the House that dinner will be available this evening at the usual time. Perhaps I could just bring the formidable list of speakers to your Lordships' attention and suggest that, if noble Lords could be as succinct as is compatible with the arguments that they intend to deploy, it might be for the general convenience of the House, in that any Division or Divisions that may take place would thereby be enabled to do so at not too unsocial an hour.
