HL Deb 27 April 1982 vol 429 c779
Lord Denham

My Lords, it may be for the convenience of the House if I announce that dinner will be available this evening at the usual time. Subject to the progress of business, the Committee stage of the Social Security and Housing Benefits Bill will be adjourned at about 7 p.m. for approximately three-quarters of an hour.

Baroness Liewelyn-Davies of Hastoe

My Lords, may I ask the noble Lord the Chief Whip whether he has any news for the House about a debate in your Lordships' House on the Falkland Islands crisis?

Lord Denham

My Lords, I am grateful to the noble Baroness. I am afraid I am not at present in a position to make a Business Statement to the House. I understand there is to be a Business Statement made in another place later this afternoon and I can give an undertaking to your Lordships that I will make a Statement in this House before we rise this evening.
