Lord Lyell

My Lords, with the leave of your Lordships I should like to move Amendments Nos. 207, 208 and 209 together. These three amendments permit a joint stock company registering under Part 8 of the 1948 Act to use the Welsh equivalent of what we call a public limited company or "limited" as the last words or word of its name if the registered office of that company is to be situated in Wales. We consider that as drafted paragraph 13 of Schedule 3 makes the use of the Welsh equivalent compulsory in such cases. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendments.—(Lord Lyell.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
