§ Lord LyellMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 185 and 186. These two amendments, I am given to understand, are minor amendments; although no amendments of this technical nature can be classified as minor. They provide that current asset investments, if the accounts are drawn up in accordance with the alternative accounting rules, may be included as current costs only and not as now allowed by paragraph 31(3) at a market value or at a valuation considered appropriate by the directors.
