§ Lord Mackay of ClashfernMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 138, and, with your Lordships' permission, I shall speak also to Amendment No. 203. These are drafting amendments to rectify the omission of the figure "(1)" after "section 164" in line 2 of Clause 58(1) and before (a) and (b) in the 1030 third line of paragraph 7 of Schedule 3. They make it clear that Clause 80(1) is amending Section 164 of the 1948 Act and that the reference in Section 172(3) of that Act to the appointment of inspectors is to the appointment of inspectors on the application of members under Section 164(1) (a) and (b) and not the company itself under (1)(c) introduced by Clause 58(1).
