§ 106 Clause 53 Page 59, line 36, leave out ("and by its debtors").
§ Lord LyellMy Lords, this amendment seeks to remove the phrase,
and by its debtors".from paragraph 2 of Clause 53, since the term, the aggregate of the amount of its assets",will already include the amounts paid by its debtors. For this reason the phrase is superfluous. It is a drafting amendment but it is one that I hope will make the Bill much clearer. I beg to move.
§ Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(Lord Lyell.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
