HL Deb 19 October 1981 vol 424 c646

149Schedule 5, page 60, line 32, at end insert—

'Butterfly, Swallowtail Papilio machaon'.

The Earl of Avon

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment. We are advised by the Nature Conservancy Council that the population of this attractive butterfly is declining. Its addition to the schedule of creatures which require a degree of special protection is therefore justified. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(The Earl of Avon.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
