HL Deb 19 October 1981 vol 424 cc645-6

146 Schedule 3, page 58, leave out line 20.

The Earl of Avon

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment. It is now our understanding that present information on the rook does not justify its retention in Schedule 3. Sale and exhibition can be allowed by licence under Clause 16 for those people who breed these birds. Should breeding records, at some time in the future, support inclusion of this species on the schedule, it can be added by order. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(The Earl of Avon.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
