'(11) A report made under section 17(1) of Schedule 3 to the Nature Conservancy Council Act 1973 for any year shall set out particulars of any areas of land as respects which orders under this section have come into operation during that year.'.
Earl FerrersMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 63. Perhaps I may also speak to Amendment No. 63A. Amendment No. 63 provides that the Nature Conservancy Council shall publish in its annual report details of land in respect of which orders have been made and such information will assist informed debate about habitat protection. Amendment No. 63A, which seeks to amend this, is the technical amendment. The Nature Conservancy Council submits annual reports to the Secretary of State under paragraph 17 of Schedule 3 to the Nature Conservancy Council Act 1973. This amendment will correct an erroneous reference in the Commons Amendment No. 63 that reports are made under Section 17(1) of the Act.
