HL Deb 16 February 1981 vol 417 c482
Lord Denham

My Lords, when I announced on Friday last that the Committee stage of the Wildlife and Countryside Bill would be continued on Tuesday of this week, 17th February, I told the House that I would make a further Business Statement today on consequential changes to tomorrow's business.

It has now been agreed that the Motion, standing in the name of my noble friend Lord Cranbrook, on the Report of the European Communities Committee on EEC environment policy should not now be taken tomorrow. I very much regret any inconvenience that has been caused to those intending to participate in this debate. I can give them an assurance that the debate will be taken at the earliest convenient day, and at a more suitable hour than would have been the case had the Motion remained on tomorrow's Order Paper.
