My Lords, this amendment ensures that the validity of a jury's verdict cannot be challenged on the grounds that one of the jurors was not qualified in terms of Clause 1(1). It therefore applies the same provisions in relation to persons who are not qualified as are secured in Clause 1(4) for ineligible and disqualified persons. I beg to move.
