My Lords, with the leave of the House, at a convenient moment after 3.45 this afternoon my noble friend Lord Trefgarne will be making a Statement about the offer for sale of shares in British Airways.

It may be for the convenience of the House to know that dinners will be available at the usual time this evening. The Committee stage of the Local Government, Planning and Land (No. 2) Bill will be adjourned at approximately 7 o'clock for approximately one hour and two order confirmation Bills will be taken during this adjournment.
