My Lords, with the leave of the House, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon my noble friend the Leader of the House will repeat a Statement, being made in another place, on the Civil Service.

It may be for the convenience of your Lordships if I mention that dinner will be available this evening at the usual time. The Committee stage of the Transport Bill will adjourn at approximately seven o'clock for about one hour. The Criminal Justice (Northern Ireland) Order and the Committee stage of the Concessionary Travel for Handicapped Persons (Scotland) Bill will be taken during this adjournment.
