HL Deb 27 March 1980 vol 407 cc1146-7

220A Line 5, after ("he") insert ("is a member of or").

Lord WEDDERBURN of CHARLTON

My Lords, I beg to move as an amendment to Commons Amendment No. 220, Amendment No. 220A. May I say in respect of Amendments Nos. 220A, 220B and 220C that there is a limited amount of powder and shot available to any of us at this time of night? If the House will permit it, I would like to move these amendments formally, because then they will appear in the Official Report. May I, therefore, move them formally in the knowledge that at this late hour and in view of the Government's attitude to amendments, there is no point in doing very much more? However, I should like them to appear on the record.

On Question, amendment negatived.
