HL Deb 20 March 1980 vol 407 c433

Lord HOUGHTON of SOWERBY asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many"Opticraft Dissecting Sets"have been imported from Japan or elsewhere into this country, and whether they will discourage further retail sales of boxes of laboratory instruments which, if misused, could become a danger to humans and a further source of cruelty to animals.

Lord TREFGARNE

These products are not separately identified in the Overseas Trade Statistics. My noble friend, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Home Department, has indicated to the noble Lord that he is making inquiries into the marketing of these instruments.
