My Lords, with the leave of the House, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon, my noble friend the Foreign Secretary will repeat a Statement on the Venice meeting which is being made in another place.

It may also be for the convenience of your Lordships if I announce that dinner will be available this evening at the usual time. The Committee stage of the Social Security (No. 2) Bill will be adjourned at approximately 7 o'clock for about an hour, and the Second Reading of the Gas Bill will be taken during this adjournment.
