HL Deb 03 June 1980 vol 409 cc1262-3
THE LORD ADVOCATE (Lord Mac-kay of Clashfern)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a second time. It is a consolidation measure. It consolidates certain enactments relating to solicitors and notaries public in Scotland. It is pure consolidation and is intended to make no change in the existing law. If your Lordships approve, it will be referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills, which will consider it and make its report to the House in due course. My Lords, I beg to move.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.— (Lord Mackay of Clashfern.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
