HL Deb 01 July 1980 vol 411 c229

3.2 p.m.

The Earl of HALSBURY

My Lords, I beg to move the motion standing in my name on the Order Paper. Last Thursday, when the Bill received its Third Reading, I omitted to move the usual privilege amendment before it was sent to the Commons. Such an amendment is necessary because of the financial provision in paragraph 5 of Schedule 1.The purpose of this motion is to enable the error to be corrected by giving the Bill another Third Reading and including the privilege amendment before the Bill is finally sent to the Commons. I beg to move.

Moved, That the proceedings of Thursday last with respect to the Bill be vacated. —(The Earl of Halsbury.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Read 3a, an amendment (privilege) made; Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.
