HL Deb 02 December 1980 vol 415 c353

4.26 p.m.

Lord Elton rose to move, That the draft order laid before the House on 5th November be approved.

The noble Lord said: My Lords, this order amends the Building Societies Act 1962 and the Income Corporation Taxes Act 1970. The amendments are consequential to the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order, which your Lordships have just approved, and for technical reasons they are dealt with separately in this Order in Council under the provisions of Section 38(2) of the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973. As all the provisions under this order are consequential upon the housing order, I hope your Lordships will give it your formal assent. I beg to move.

Moved, That the draft order laid before the House on 5th November be approved.—(Lord Elton.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
