HL Deb 01 August 1980 vol 412 cc1193-4
Lord DENHAM

My Lords, the Motion put down in the name of my noble friend is a technical necessity to enable what I believe is an uncontroversial Private Member's Bill to obtain a Second Reading before the Summer Recess. My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend I beg to move the Motion.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 46 (notice to be given in respect of Commons Bills not taken up) be dispensed with for the purpose of enabling the Second Reading of the Married Women's Policies of Assurance (Amendment) Bill to be taken on Thursday next.—(Lord Denham.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
