§ Lord BELSTEADMy Lords, with the leave of the House, I will now repeat a Statement being made in another place by my right honourable friend the Home Secretary on Prisons.
Before I make the Statement I should like leave to refer to events at the Iranian Embassy of which noble Lords may be aware. A few hours ago there was a hostage-taking incident. All appropriate steps are being taken.
