HL Deb 29 November 1979 vol 403 c495
The LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a third time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 3a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

Lord ELWYN-JONES

My Lords, I intervene merely to say, first, how valuable it is that the work of consolidation is being continued at such a rapid pace and, secondly, to congratulate the noble and learned Lord the Lord Chancellor on his gymnastic performance.

The LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I am grateful to the noble and learned Lord. My minuet was almost interrupted.

On Question, Bill read 3a, and passed, and sent to the Commons.
