Lord GREENWOOD of ROSSENDALE

My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend the Chairman of Committees, I beg to move the second Motion standing in his name on the Order Paper.

Moved, that a Select Committee be appointed for the general supervision of arrangements relating to leave of absence and the reimbursement of Lords' expenses; and that, as proposed by the Committee of Selection, the Lords following, with the Chairman of Committees, be named of the Committee:—

My Lords, may I ask my noble friend whether we can understand that the Committee in their deliberations will bear in mind the effects of inflation?

Lord GREENWOOD of ROSSENDALE

My Lords, anything suggested by the noble Lord will be borne in mind by any Committee of your Lordships' House.
