HL Deb 14 February 1979 vol 398 c1249
Lord SANDYS

My Lords, I beg leave to ask Her Majesty's Government a Question, of which I have given Private Notice. The Question is as follows:

"To ask Her Majesty's Government whether, in the light of the Portland flood disaster and the damage sustained by residents on the nights of 13th December and 13th February, they will indicate the action likely to be taken to prevent the further loss, either of life or property, and the size and nature of the compensation to be provided."

Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

My Lords, with the leave of the House, at a convenient moment after 3.30, my noble friend Lord Strabolgi will answer this Question in the form of a Statement and my noble friend the Leader of the House will then repeat a Statement being made in another place on the economy, the Government and trade union responsibilities.
