HL Deb 13 February 1979 vol 398 cc1105-6
The LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord Elwyn-Jones)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a second time. The Bill consolidates the Bretton Woods Agreement Act 1945, which gave effect to the agreement setting up the International Monetary Fund and succeeding legislation relating to the Fund. It makes no alteration to the existing law. If read a second time, the Bill will be referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills. My Lords, I beg to move.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
