HL Deb 13 February 1979 vol 398 cc1106-7

Read 3a, with the Amendments.

Clause 8 [Citation, etc.]:

The LORD CHANCELLOR moved the following Amendments en bloc:

Page 6, leave out lines 25 and 26.

Page 7, line 6, leave out from ("words") to ("there") in line 7 and insert ("eighty of the Agriculture Act 1947")

Page 7, line 8, leave out ("and section")

Page 7, line 9, leave out ("(restrictions on disclosure of information)")

Page 7, line 22, leave out ("or section")

Page 7, line 24, leave out (", section 80 of the Agriculture Act 1947 or section").

The noble and learned Lord said: My Lords, all six Amendments form one single group of Amendments. They are all minor drafting Amendments to make it clearer that the Bill is intended to extend only to England and Wales and not to Scotland. With leave, I propose to move the Amendments en bloc. If any noble Lord wishes to raise a question with regard to any of them, I shall do my best to answer him. I beg to move.

On Question, Amendments agreed to en bloc.

Moved, That the Bill do now pass.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.
