Clause 52, page 34, line 1, leave out from beginning to 'may' in line 2 and insert Subject to any statutory provision, the Crown Court Rules Committee appointed under section (Crown Court Rules Committee)'.

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 4, which is linked with Amendments Nos. 5, 6 and 8. Together they make fresh provision for a committee to make rules of procedure for the Crown Court, and they give a separate identity to that committee which will be charged with this function. I beg to move.
