37 Clause 20, page 9, line 40, leave out from beginning to ("and:") in line 43 and insert— ("Such executive powers as have been conferred on a Minister of the Crown by an enactment passed or made before the passing of this Act shall, if they relate to devolved matters and are exercisable in or as regards Scotland, be exercised by a Scottish Secretary;")

The Commons disagreed to the above Amendment for the following Reason:

38 Because it would not be compatible with the decision taken by the Commons on Amendment No. 33.

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth not insist on their Amendment No. 37 to which the Commons have disagreed for the Reason numbered 38. This Amendment is consequential on Amendment No. 33, which the House has already considered.
