HL Deb 26 January 1978 vol 388 cc472-3

3.22 p.m.

The LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord Elwyn-Jones)

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do now resolve itself into a Committee on the Commonwealth Development Corporation Bill and the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Bill. Owing to inadvertence, notice of the discharge of the Order of Re-commitment was not given, and in respect of these two Bills, accordingly, the House will have to go into Committee on them, even though, I am happy to say, there are no Amendments.

Moved, That the House do now resolve itself into Committee on the said Bills.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

House in Committee accordingly.

[The LORD ABERDARE in the Chair.]

The CHAIRMAN of COMMITTEES

I understand that no Amendments have been set down to the Commonwealth Development Corporation Bill this afternoon, and with the agreement of the Committee I will therefore put the Question that I report the Bill to the House without amendment.

Moved, That the Bill be reported to the House without amendment.—(The Chairman of Committees.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

The CHAIRMAN of COMMITTEES

Moved, That the Bill be reported to the House without amendment.—(The Chairman of Committees.)
