HL Deb 17 January 1978 vol 388 c19
The LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a second time. Your Lordships should not be misled by the title, Refuse (Disposal) Bill, into thinking that this Bill is pure rubbish. It is, however, pure consolidation, and makes no changes in the existing law. I beg to move.

Moved, That the Bill be read 2a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read 2a and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
