The purpose of the Bill is to consolidate certain enactments relating to agricultural statistics which are to be found mainly in the Agriculture Act 1947 and the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Acts 1972 and 1976. The Bill makes no changes in the existing law. If it is read a second time by your Lordships, it will be referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills in the usual way.
