5 Clause 19, page 17, line 29, leave out from beginning to ("and") in line 32. The Commons disagreed to the above Amendment for the following Reason:

6 Because the Amendment is inappropriate having regard to the restoration to the Bill of Clause 9.

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth not insist on their Amendment numbered 5 to which the Commons have disagreed for the Reason numbered 6. The decision of the other place to restore the former Clause 9 to the Bill makes it necessary to restore the references to that clause in this later Clause 19 which makes the payment of compensation by local authorities to car park operators eligible for the transport supplementary grant. I invite your Lordships not to insist on their Amendment, since this one is consequential on what has gone before.
