HL Deb 22 November 1977 vol 387 cc779-80

3.57 p.m.

The SOLICITOR-GENERAL FOR SCOTLAND (Lord McCluskey) rose to move, That the Legal Aid (Scotland) (Financial Conditions) Regulations 1977, laid before the House on 26th October, be approved. The noble and learned Lord said: My Lords, I beg to move that these regulations be approved. They do for Scotland what the first set of regulations, to which my noble and learned friend the Lord Chancellor has already spoken, do for South of the Border. We in Scotland share the regrets that he expressed that it is not possible to go further than the regulations go.

Moved, That the Legal Aid (Scotland) (Financial Conditions) Regulations 1977, laid before the House on 26th October, be approved.—(Lord McCluskey.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
