My Lords, I beg leave to ask Her Majesty's Government the Question of which I have given the Government Private Notice. The Question is as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government, in view of the latest series of assassinations in Northern Ireland during the past few days, constituting a new development, whether they will make a statement.
