My Lords, I beg to introduce a Bill to repeal and re-enact with amendments the Deer Act 1963; to provide for the better management of deer in England and Wales; to prevent the poaching and the illegal taking, killing and injuring of deer in England and Wales; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid. I beg to move that the Bill be now read a first time.
