HL Deb 17 February 1977 vol 379 c1754
Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend the Leader of the House, I beg to move the first Motion standing in his name on the Order Paper.

Moved, That leave be given to the Lord Harris of Greenwich to advance the Report of the Criminal Law Bill from Thursday the 3rd to Tuesday the 1st of March.—(Baroness Llewelyn-Davies of Hastoe.)

Lord BALFOUR of INCHRYE

My Lords, may I ask the reasons for this change? I am quite sure it has been arranged through the two Front Benches, through the usual channels, but we humble Back Benchers would like to know why the programme has been altered.

Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

My Lords, as the noble Lord says, it was arranged through the usual channels. It was at the request of Opposition Peers; it was for their convenience, and for the convenience of the Law Lords.

Lord BALFOUR of INCHRYE

I thank the noble Baroness.

On Question, Motion agreed to.
