§ 3.32 p.m.
§ Moved, That the Bill be now read 3a.—(Lord Oram.)
§ Lord LYELLMy Lords, at this stage of the Bill perhaps I might thank the noble Lord, Lord Oram, for all the help that he was able to give us at an earlier stage. May I say how welcome this Bill will be in the merchant shipping industry and how the Bill, and particularly your Lordships' deliberations, were welcomed by both sides of the industry. I hope that the noble Lord will take note of the comments and the happiness that we have caused outside the House.
§ On Question, Bill read 3a, and passed, and sent to the Commons.
