HL Deb 28 April 1977 vol 382 c695

3.32 p.m.

Lord ORAM

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a third time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 3a.—(Lord Oram.)

Lord LYELL

My Lords, at this stage of the Bill perhaps I might thank the noble Lord, Lord Oram, for all the help that he was able to give us at an earlier stage. May I say how welcome this Bill will be in the merchant shipping industry and how the Bill, and particularly your Lordships' deliberations, were welcomed by both sides of the industry. I hope that the noble Lord will take note of the comments and the happiness that we have caused outside the House.

On Question, Bill read 3a, and passed, and sent to the Commons.
