My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 41. This is a drafting Amendment. It removes any doubt about the intention of this clause. It is not intended that the Registrar General should have any discretion in the matter of cancelling an entry in the register of marriages relating to a void marriage. This point was brought up by members of the Opposition in the other place.
