[Nos.43 and 44.]

Clause 21, page 24, line 15, after ("period") insert ("beginning with the date of the order and").

Page 25, line 24, after ("company") insert ("(wherever incorporated)").

Lord WINTERBOTTOM

My Lords, with the leave of the House I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 43 and 44 en bloc. Amendment No. 43 is a drafting Amendment which clarifies the date upon which a disqualification order begins. Amendment No. 44 is a similar drafting Amendment. This Amendment makes it clear that overseas companies with a place of business in Great Britain are to be included among those companies in respect of which persons disqualified under Clause 21 may not act as a director or take part in management. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Win terbottoni.)
